Habitáculos de la voluntad [2004]

Habitáculos de la voluntad, spanish title of the exibition, comes from the generic idea of “home” and takes as a reference point the concept of models that were in existence before the Renaissance. Where an excesive rationalization was produced from something that once before was full of “aura”, these houses were containers used for their mental worlds.

The habitáculos presented in this exihibition are a hybrid of rationa-lized concepts and dreamlike visions. They are presented as bodies or containers that speak from the absence.

To represent (subjectivly) the living space, the house, the city, the world they amalgamate to present the spaces lived in using models, plans and maps and the lived in spaces.
